October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and I wanted to tell a story from the perspective of three young sisters. 23 year old Angel has taken on the responsibility to raise her younger sisters after their mother was killed due to domestic violence. Angel follows in her mother’s footsteps and soon so does her teen sister Asha. Angel feels like she has no choice because the cycle of abuse has occurred in her family for so long. Will Angel finally put an end to the cycle?
A powerful story about a mother who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. The film shows the loving relationship between a mother and daughter trying to deal with the lung cancer by making a book in hopes to inspire others.
